Introduction: Post-national social contract in the 21st century – a cross-disciplinary contribution to the political anthropology

Abstract

This special volume investigates the fate of the social contract in the contexts of the postnational order. Since at least the turn of the century, we have been witness to a profound de- and re-composition of the modern social bonds between the individual, the state and society.
